Purpose:
The primary purpose of the youth pastor is to disciple young people to Jesus Christ. Maryland Christian Church is seeking for a half-time/full-time minister to serve and help grow in faith for youth group (6th-12th grade) and college group. The youth pastor will preach for youth group and college group on Sunday service and lead Bible study on weekday. He or she must have a strong knowledge of scripture and a passion for students to challenge them to grow deeper in their faith. Other responsibilities include coordinating other youth events.


Qualifications
• Must be a born again believer with a maturing relationship with Christ.
• Must have strong passion for evangelism and outreach.
• Must be committed to Maryland Christian Church’s doctrine, vision, values and beliefs.
• Must have graduated from an accredited evangelical seminary (May consider candidates who will graduate by 2016).
• A self-motivated leader, capable of casting and imparting vision for ministry, possessing relational skills with students, parents, and teachers.
• Preferred experience in Biblical preaching and shepherding a congregation of mixed linguistic/cultural background


Other Duties and Responsibilities:
• Work with senior pastor and youth group teachers to achieve the collectively articulated goals of the ministry.
• Train and mobilized a ministry team of adults for the youth ministry
• Develop and lead in the planning and conducting of special activities for the spiritual growth of students including dramas, retreats, camps, fellowships, mission activities, and etc.


Description of Organization:
Maryland Christian Church is non-denominational Korean church that was planted 12 years ago and is located in Timonium, MD. However, we prefer to follow the reformed and evangelical doctrine. Our weekly average youth group & college group attendance on Sunday service is about 6-10 students.
