General Contractor - Superintendent
Description:
Busy full service general contractor performing private, commercial and governmental work seeks Superintendent with 5 to 10 years of experience in construction and must have experience with Public Works, Job Order Contracts, IQC, and E-Gordian. The Site Superintendent is a full time position that will report directly to the Project Manager. He/she will be on the job site at all times during construction and is responsible for the efficiency of all crews on this construction contract for PUB construction. A site superintendent is a person who coordinates and manages all the activities on a construction site. This position demands an individual who is detail oriented, fair, ambitious, ethical, and professional to Owners, Architects, and construction personnel alike.
We are looking for superintendent that will oversee mainly general tenant improvement projects and private jobs.
Duties / Requirements:
• Coordinates and supervises all construction activities for various trades
• Directs all field personnel to achieve completion of the project on schedule, within budget, with quality workmanship that conforms to original plans and specifications.
• Prepares daily reports of jobsite activities and progress
• Schedules inspections as necessary throughout the process.
• Maintains positive relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers and other employees.
• Manage the change order process to ensure change orders are completed and billed
• Effectively manage all material procurement for projects Interpret all contract documents
• Effectively manage all material procurement for projects
• Prepares, schedules and supervises completion of a final punch list.
• Promotes job site safety, encourages safe work practices and rectifies job site hazards immediately through enforcing the company's Site Safety Policies.
• Maintains a clean and organized job site, including the construction office.
• Must be very well organized and systematic
• Must have a good knowledge about construction activities
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to maintain good relationships with the crew and Owner/Client
• Must be good at troubleshooting
• Ability to understand the construction documents and plans
• Experience with Critical Path Method construction scheduling
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Adobe PDF files, etc.
• Construction related education is a plus
• Minimum 10 hour OSHA Certified

• Construction: 10 years
E-GORDIAN JOC Experience
• RESTAURANT EXPERIENCE
• Civil & Water Treatment Experience
• Public Works Experience
