Sr. Project Manager Job Description:
Description:Busy full service general contractor performing private, commercial and government work seeks Project manager. 5 to 15 years of experience as a project manager and preferred experience with Job Order Contracts, IQC, and E-Gordian.
.Duties:Construction project managers are to plan, coordinate and oversee the entire process of construction projects. Typical job duties include creating budgets and timelines, delegating tasks to subcontractors, and collaborating with other professionals working to complete the project. Construction project managers ensure that all construction projects are completed on time and under budget.
Sr. Project Manager Job Purpose:
Accomplishes project objectives by planning and evaluating project activities.
Sr. Project Manager Job Duties:
• Accomplishes human resource objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; planning and reviewing compensation actions; enforcing policies and procedures.
• Achieves operational objectives by contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends; determining system improvements; implementing change.
• Meets financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
• Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
Sr. Project Manager Job Requirements:
• Education background in Architect & Engineering, Civil Engineering.
• 5-15 Years of experience as Project manager.
• Knowledge in E-Gordian/JOC and IQC is strongly preferred.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
• Self-motivated and self-starter
• Reviews drawings and specifications.
• Executes material take-offs.
• Determines quantities of materials and labor.
• Obtains materials pricing.
